Today is probably one of the only times I will willingly wear a necklace. (But man…these suckers are hard to put on, no wonder I usually never wear them). I like this pink heart because it was given to me on Valentines Day by a sweet man a few years ago. It comes with matching earrings—but being me, I lost one.
I like it a lot because it’s small, simple, and sparkly—and because Arthur was the one who gave it to me. He cares a lot about me and my family so I think this necklace is a sweet token of his love and admiration, even though he has no need to give me anything. He’s a WWII Veteran and is a very silly man so I like him. Whenever I picture him I’m always reminded of his devilish grin :) He has always given me little things regardless of it being Valentines—advice, a cool golden ring with a little coin embedded into it that he had meant to give to his son but gave to me, cultural magazines, and candy :) He’s a nice man. I hope everyone has someone on Valentines (and even on days that aren’t Valentines) that is kind to them and demonstrates their love even in little ways—a smile, a letter, a rose…etc.
